DAY 1 –From Source to Sanctuary

Cherry farm – Surewani, 30th Oct 2025

Your adventure begins at dawn at Camp Cherry Farm, where you’ll fuel up with a wholesome breakfast before setting off on two wheels into the serene wilderness. Our first stop is the Navegaon Khairi Dam, a reservoir that supplies water to Nagpur—a vital part of the Pench Project, cradled within the lush Parseoni forests. From there, we pedal onward to Kuwara Bhivsen, a religious place of tribals nestled on the banks of the Pench River. After refueling with light refreshments, we continue through rustic trails toward Saleghat, a quiet village flanked by the biodiverse Mansinghdeo Wildlife Sanctuary—an area known for rare bird sightings and rich natural beauty. The final leg of the day leads us deeper into the wild as we enter the Surewani Buffer Zone of Pench Tiger Reserve. Here, the forest grows denser, and the air fills with the calls of wildlife—a true preview of the untamed heart of Maha Pench. As daylight softens, we’ll reach our designated rest point for the evening, where a warm meal, shared stories, and the sounds of the jungle under a starlit sky will bring Day 1 to a perfect close.

Start Point: Ramtek End Point: Surewani Gate
Distance: 60 KMs (Mix of on and off road)

Day 2 – Into the Wild Heart – Villages, Jungles, and Untamed Trails

Surewani – Sillari, 31st Oct 2025

We begin our day in the dense, wildlife-rich forests of the Surewani Buffer Zone, where the morning mist hangs between ancient trees. From here, we retrace our path slightly to the rustic village of Saleghat, a transition zone where the forest begins to soften into farmland and rural life. After pausing to absorb the quiet energy of this biodiverse corridor, we turn our wheels toward the Pench River.  The ride then leads us to Kolitmara, a tranquil tribal village nestled on the banks of the Pench River, where the pace of life is dictated by the flow of the water and the surrounding forest. Our journey continues with an invigorating off-road climb out of the river basin, pushing through an uphill jungle path alive with birdsong and the possibility of wildlife sightings. The route unfolds through a network of picturesque, traffic-free roads connecting quaint villages dotted between the forest and vast open farmlands, offering a true sense of remote adventure.  We then dive deeper into the lush and vital woodlands of the Kirangi Sarra area, an integral part of the Pench-Bor Tiger Corridor. Cycling quietly through this unspoiled terrain, we become immersed in the ecological tapestry that connects these protected lands.  Our day’s destination is the renowned Sillari zone, a premium and peaceful core area of Pench Tiger Reserve. Famous for its towering teak and bamboo forests, Sillari offers a profound wilderness experience and one of the best chances to spot iconic wildlife. We conclude here, surrounded by the deep, settling silence of the jungle, a perfect end to a day of immersive riding.

Start Point: Surewani Gate End Point: Sillari
Distance: 60 KMs. (Mix of on and off road)

Day 3 – The Backroads of Vidarbha – A Cultural and Countryside Passage

From the serene jungles of Sillari, we embark on a captivating journey through a tapestry of timeless villages—Khapa, Zinzeria, Dongartal, and Kadbikheda—where life moves to the rhythm of the seasons. The ride offers a glimpse into the heart of local culture before a brief, contrasting pulse along Highway 4 quickly returns us to the quiet countryside. The path then delves deeper through Dulara, Chawari, and Karwahi, leading to the fascinating tribal heritage of Gonds and the rustic charm of Pindkapar, Belda, and Tangla. The journey culminates in Mogarkasa, a finale that encapsulates the entire experience: a profound connection to the land, its people, and the quiet, enduring beauty of Central India’s hidden landscapes and forests.

WHEN SHOULD I REACH NAGPUR?

We would recommend that you reach Nagpur on 28th Oct morning by 11 AM, so that you reach Ramtek by afternoon and get settled. Do not miss our pre-tour briefing in the evening in which we will be explaining the flow of the tour and other important information.

DOES THE TOUR FEE INCLUDE TRANSPORT TO AND FROM NAGPUR? WHAT ABOUT STAY ON DAY 0 IN SILLARI?

No, transportation to Ramtek is not included in tour fees. However we will be transporting some riders to Ramtek in shared transport for an extra fee (Rs. 2500). Stay of Day 0 at Ramtek is however included in the tour fee, so you don’t have to worry about that.

IS THERE A LUGGAGE LIMIT?

There is a one bag per rider limit. Each rider is entitled to one piece of baggage (the max limit is 30 litres/15 Kgs). However we advise you not to carry any fragile items or expensive gadgets/ equipments in your baggage. We do not provide any guarantee for the safety of any fragile/expensive items in the baggage. We will not be responsible for any loss/ theft or damages.

WHAT KIND OF BIKE IS MOST SUITABLE FOR THIS TOUR? DO I BRING MY OWN BIKE?

This tour involves fair bit of off-road riding so we would suggest you to bring a MTB for this tour and we expect most of the participants will be bringing MTBs. However if you have a suspension hybrid bike with 35mm+ tyres, they should be ok too. We won’t suggest road bikes at all for this route though. And yes if you want us to arrange bikes on rent, we can do that too. Rent including transport of bike to start point and back is Rs. 4000. Please note that if any parts are damaged of the rent bike due to falls during ride or mishandling will be have to paid by the rider.

WHEN CAN I PLAN MY RETURN FROM NAGPUR?

Tour will finish at Ramtek on 2nd Nov afternoon post lunch around 3PM. Nagpur is just 50 Kms from there, so you can easily catch a late-night train OR flight back from Nagpur.

HOW DO I TRAVEL WITH MY BICYCLE TILL RAMTEK?

The nearest airport and railway station is Nagpur (50Kms) . Modern bicycles are really easy to carry in cars using a bike rack, or even in the boot of the car. If you are travelling by train, then you can easily remove both the wheels and then carry the bike with you in some bag. If you are flying to Nagpur, then you can easily check-in your bike in bike-box. Local bike shops can help you with packing it in a cardboard box, if you don’t have a proper bike bag for travelling. People travel all over the world with their bikes, so it’s a good idea to talk to someone who has already done so.
Once you reach Nagpur, you can travel on your own to Ramtek, hire a taxi or can also opt for rider transport being arranged by us for an extra fees of Rs 2500 for rider transport.

WILL I ENCOUNTER WILD ANIMALS DURING THE RIDE?

It is tendency of wild animals to avoid any human presence and that is why it is so difficult to spot them even when you enter the core area of jungles. As we will be bicycling in buffer areas only where otherwise too there is significant number of villages and other human settlements, chances of this are very low to none. The route has been chosen in consultation with forest officials and is safe for riding. Further, on desolate patches volunteers will ensure that participants ride in a group.

HOW IS THE MOBILE NETWORK CONNECTIVITY THROUGH OUT THE ROUTE?

There will be sections of routes where you won’t have connectivity for few kilometres on the route. In our recce we found Jio network had the best coverage.
